Research methodology. To study the problem, such general scientific research methods as comparative, logical and statistical analysis were used. Also, to obtain a more complete understanding of the problem under study, the study examined the works of domestic and foreign scientists dealing with issues of social well-being and social security. Application area. The article examines the problem of ensuring the social well-being of the population in the context of globalization , analyzes the impact of globalization processes on the social sphere, and pays attention to the relationship between social well-being and social security in modern conditions. Research methodology. The study uses the works of domestic and foreign scientists dealing with issues of social well-being and social security to examine the problem from different points of view. Application area. The conducted research may be useful for government authorities, as well as scientists dealing with issues of social well-being and social security of the population. Conclusions. Currently, globalization processes have a significant impact on the social well-being of the population of countries around the world. Therefore, an important task of any state is to ensure the material well-being of citizens. To do this, it is necessary to develop measures that minimize the negative consequences of globalization processes. Such an approach will ensure social security, which should be based on a special mechanism, each element of which will contribute to improving the quality of life of the country's population. This mechanism should be flexible and adaptive, which will allow a quick response to changes occurring both within the country and in the world as a whole.
