Abstract

  The views of Pitirim Sorokin on the history of sociology and social teachings are analyzed. In particular, the socio-philosophical concept of N.Y. Danilevsky. It is shown that, unlike Sorokin's earlier historical and sociological works, this one is complicated by interference in the immanent criticism of his own concept, developed in "Social and Cultural Dynamics". Nevertheless, his assessment of the creative heritage of N.Y. Danilevsky is extremely high.
