Abstract

The article examines the differentiation in assessments of the components of quality of life by the residents of the Tyumen region. This article is based on data obtained within the framework of the interregional program "Problems of Sociocultural Evolution of Russia and Its Regions," created by N.I. Lapin and L.A. Belyaeva, Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Later, no fewer than 20 different regions of Russia joined the program, which is currently coordinated by the Volga Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The research is based on ten waves of sociological monitoring from 2006 to 2023 in the Tyumen region. Methods of quantitative analysis were used, including statistical data and the results of sociological surveys. An overview of the state and problems of quality of life research is presented, as well as an analysis of existing methodological approaches and conceptual frameworks that define quality of life as a complex indicator of socio-economic development. The main results show that subjective assessments of the population’s quality of life vary significantly depending on socio-economic conditions, highlighting the importance of considering these factors in the development of social programs. The novelty of these results is determined by multiple comparisons for each of the components in the dynamics of quality of life in the Tyumen region over 17 years, identifying the most pressing problems. It is shown that the most urgent social issue identified by the region's residents is the provision of accessible and quality healthcare.
