Abstract

Applying to the sociological data of the Institute of Sociology of FCTAS RAS, the author analyzes the dynamics of the emotions and the attitudes of the Russia’s citizens during the 2023-2024-ies. The aggravation of the post-COVID anxiety of the Russia’s society in 2022 was replaced in 2024 by tendencies of adaptation to the situation, and emotional “confusion” was replaced by the citizens’ attempts to return to their usual routine. In 2024 the normalization of the citizens' perception the situation in the state was fixed, and the respondents’ attitudes towards the situation in their region and place of residence overcame the positive indicators of the "COVID period" after a sharp drop in 2022. However, despite the generally positive assessments of the current state of affairs by Russians, in 2024 many citizens announce negative dominants in the psycho-emotional attitudes of society, indicating that negative emotions, primarily anxiety, prevail in the mood of the people around them. In the circumstances of a difficult psycho-emotional climate, many Russian citizens perceive current events philosophically, continuing to believe in personal and national prospects.
