Abstract

The article examines the socio-political orientations of residents of an average southern Russian city. The method of indirect identification of the nature of socio-political orientations is used by correlating ideal ideas about socio-political life and the image of socio-political life in foreign countries. The list of countries obtained during the survey was grouped according to four criteria: the form of government of the country, the type of administrative and territorial structure, the system of elections of the head of the country, the type of party system. As a result, a certain image of socio-political orientations was revealed according to these signs. It includes a republican form of government; a unitary administrative-territorial structure; elections of the head of state according to the system of an absolute majority, or the head of state is elected by the legislature; the party system operates on the principle of multiparty system.
