The subject of the study is the reproduction of this population for 33 post-Soviet years, its main components, and factors. The purpose of the study is to identify groups of regions in Asian Russia that exhibit characteristic patterns in population reproduction, migration trends, and significant factors influencing their demographic development over the entire period from 1992 to 2024. Research methods are demographic statistical analysis and the application of relative indicators for correct interterritorial comparison. The source of data for calculations is Rosstat. Research results: 4 typical groups of regions of Asian Russia are identified based on the parameters of natural loss/growth and the role of migration. The first are economically developed regions that have generally experienced depopulation over 33 years, compensating for it with migration increase. The second are regions with depopulation aggravated by migration loss. The third group includes regions without depopulation and with a positive overall growth. The fourth group consists of regions without depopulation but with a migration loss leading to an overall decline. Conclusion: The primary factors influencing demographic development in the groups have been identified, including the rates of births and deaths, the characteristics of the ethnic structure of the population, and the level of economic development.
