Abstract

Issues of adaptation of labor migrants in Russia are considered. It is emphasized that labor migration has both a positive and negative impact on society, and attention is focused on the need to regulate this process. One of the fundamental tasks is to stimulate the positive aspects of migration and minimize the negative consequences, such as the increase in illegal migration and social tensions between migrants and the host society.Adaptation of migrants is described as a complex and resource-intensive process. It is important to take into account various factors, including religion, culture, language, and economic status. The article reveals the peculiarities of adaptation of migrants from Central Asia, who face great difficulties, since most of them are young people with no experience of life in a foreign cultural environment and limited skills. This leads to the emergence of mono-ethnic settlements and exacerbates the problems associated with legalization and integration into society. It is noted that the existing migration policy is ineffective and does not create conditions for an adequate distribution of migrants across regions, which leads to the concentration of migration flows in economically prosperous regions. It also provides an overview of the State's efforts to create a regulatory framework to facilitate the adaptation and integration of migrants, but these initiatives often face challenges in implementation in regions that lack the necessary resources and authority in this area.
