Abstract

The article is devoted to comprehend a number of key transformation processes, from the authors’ view, occurring in the sociocultural sphere of contemporary society and societal one that determines the former. The relevance of the theme is conditioned by a constant tendency to the permanent reconstruction of social institutions, cultural practices, basic values, etc. in society, which together form an ambiguous vector of its development. These processes affect the ability of society to respond adequately to the internal and global challenges of contemporary social reality, as well as the collective consciousness and algorithms of social development. The article reflects statistical data (WCIOM, HSE ISSEK), which allow us to identify a number of significant factors transforming the social reality and shaping the contemporary sociocultural dynamics. The issues of transforming contemporary Russian society in the sociocultural sphere are updated both in the normative state documents responsible for the country’s national security and in the sphere of modern social and scientific research. One can note the significance of studying this issue.
