Abstract

Reflecting on the main topics of the participants' presentations, we will note some points of the content of these messages in the context of the development of research in this field. The content of the speeches, as well as the analysis of publications on the problem of identity, allow us to state that the point of view has become quite widespread in the research community due to the fact that the topic of identity has advanced to key positions in the field of social sciences. Moreover, it is emphasized that Russian identity has come to the fore as a result of an effective policy in the study of this field of knowledge. According to a number of participants in the discussion and authors researching this issue, the result of the identity policy of the Russian state, aimed at strengthening civic identity, lays the foundation for sustainable development and state stability, and acts as a basic factor of civic unity and interethnic harmony in Russian society. It is also noted that currently the issues of local identity and identity policy at the local level are among the priorities of research interests in the field of social and humanitarian knowledge and are of particular importance.Thus, today we can talk about a certain progress in methodological approaches and the development of new thematic areas.
