System transformation processes caused by the current sociocultural factors have involved the key spheres of contemporary Russian society and come with a noticeable change in value orientation in it, that challenge the sustainability of traditional sociocultural constructs and forms of their reproduction in citizens’ consciousness. The considerable relevance of the topic stems from a growing disjunction between the established norms and actual content of mass worldview, particularly against the backdrop of digitalisation, increasing social fragmentation, heightened political and cultural volatility as well, etc. The authors from their viewpoint highlight a number of key sociocultural factors having a decisive influence on the consciousness and traditional values of a contemporary society. This article uses empirical findings such as WCIOM, NAFI Research Centre, “Platform” Social Planning Centre and RSUH Social Political Research and Information Technology Centre, which reflect Russian citizens’ attitudes and preferences taking into consideration sociocultural transformations.
