Abstract

The national project "Demography", adopted in 2018, did not solve the tasks set, as it did not take into account the prevailing economic, political, and social relations in Russia. The discourse on creating a strong, large Russian family remains the most popular at scientific conferences and in various media outlets summarizing the Year 2024 – the Year of the Family. The author of the article invites readers to reflect on the recipes proposed by the speakers at the section "Life strategy against extinction and depopulation. The Russian response to the Demographic Challenge" of the IX Moscow Economic Forum (IEF) "Demography: Traditions and Industrialization".
