Abstract

This publication is devoted to the topic. The relevance of which is beyond doubt, because it provides a comprehensive analysis of the structure and content of such concepts as «patriotism» and «national security». The purpose of this study is to reveal the content of the above concepts, and the task is to identify the interconnections and interdependence existing between patriotism and national security. As methods of scientific research, the article uses methods of data collection, processing and analysis, content analysis of publications devoted to the topic of research, and secondary data analysis. The first part of this study is devoted to a structural analysis of the essence of patriotism, as well as an analysis of factors that are both the fundamental basis for the preservation and enhancement of national traditions, historical memory, and cultural heritage of the multiethnic-confessional population of the Russian Federation, and those that hinder its patriotic education. At the end of the first part of their research, the authors concluded that there is a need for an integrated approach to the process of patriotic education of the younger generation of our country, which is one of the fundamental conditions for preserving Russian statehood and ensuring its national security. The extreme importance and significance of the problem under study and its high theoretical and scientific-practical relevance in the future are noted.
