Abstract

Parliamentary diplomacy has been the subject of research by political scientists and experts in the field of international relations for several years. In this regard, research tools have been developed and tested in the context of evaluating the effectiveness of inter-parliamentary organizations, studying the technologies used by parliamentarians to regulate interstate conflicts, using soft power tools to stabilize the work of national parliamentary structures, etc. At the same time, the current dynamics of the construction of international relations and changes in the geopolitical and regional space make it advisable to update the understanding of the goals and objectives of parliamentary diplomacy in modern dynamically changing conditions, which is also extremely important for Russia in the context of the anti-Russian policy implemented by Western and European countries and the Russian isolationism supported in this regard in global political processes.
