Abstract

In the context of globalization and dynamic transformations of the world economy, the demographic situation is of paramount importance as a key factor influencing the socio-economic development of regions. The North Caucasian Federal District is a unique object of research, where demographic processes have a significant impact on economic and social development. The purpose of this study is a comprehensive analysis of the main demographic trends and challenges, as well as the development of recommendations for their regulation. Results. The study identified and analyzed key demographic trends in the regions of the district, including population dynamics and migration processes. Particular attention was paid to assessing the effectiveness of existing measures to regulate the demographic situation and determining the prospects for further development. The demographic development trends of the North Caucasian Federal District are characterized by pronounced ethnonational specificity due to the ethnocultural diversity of this region. In this context, it should be noted that the demographic processes in the district are significantly influenced by the ethnic structure of the population and the diversity of cultural traditions represented in this territory. This circumstance necessitates a comprehensive approach to the analysis of demographic changes, taking into account both quantitative and qualitative aspects of ethnic dynamics.
