Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the legacy of Agnessa Solomonovna Zvonitskaya, the first female sociologist in Russia. The study of her life story and scientific works allows not only to evaluate her achievements, but also to trace how her works influenced the formation of sociological thought in our country and in the modern period. She is a contemporary of P. I. Sorokin, V. M. Bekhterev, N. A. Rozhkov. The purpose of this article is to analyze the life path and scientific contribution of Agnessa Solomonovna Zvonitskaya. To achieve the goals, the following tasks were set: teaching the biography, professional activity and key stages of her career; reviewing her main scientific works; the influence of her works on domestic and modern sociological science.
