Abstract

Demographic policy is effective under the condition of strong family ties. Many publications are devoted to the dysfunctions of the modern family, but the versatility and variability of family relations form new subjects/aspects of research. The purpose of this article is to use empirical research materials from students to establish trends in changing perceptions of the desirable characteristics of their future families in two areas: the financial status of the family, the relationship between spouses and their parents. The structure and hierarchy of factors that strengthen family ties will make it possible to assess/predict the effectiveness of modern demographic policy, which focuses on maternity capital and a number of benefits for students and large families.
