Abstract

The aim of the study is to analyze sociological approaches to the phenomenon of social integration. The research methodology is based on historical and comparative methods. Research results: Ensuring social integration is a necessary condition for the survival of society, so this topic is one of the main ones in socio-philosophical research. In this article we have reviewed a number of approaches to analyzing social integration, focusing primarily on the functional approach, which attaches particular importance to social integration, the conflictological approach, and the analysis of systemic and social integration undertaken by N. Mouzelis. It seems to us that the approach of N. Mouzelis, taking into account the cultural and structural diversity of modern societies, is very promising for the study of the problem of social integration in modern conditions.
