According to the US and NATO, large-scale deliveries of modern weapons and direct military aid to Ukraine, along with unprecedented economic sanctions against Russia, were intended to destabilize the Russian political system and cause Russia's strategic defeat within weeks. However, Russia's military-industrial complex managed to ensure the delivery of necessary weapons and ammunition to the front, and the Russian economy thrived during the Second World War and under the pressure of several thousand sanctions. The West's sanctions policy not only failed to break Russia, but also resulted in serious problems for NATO countries. As a result, Russia's economy is growing, while Europe is teetering on the brink of recession. The significant successes of the Second World War demonstrated that the plan to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia failed, predetermining Russia's victory over NATO in the proxy war within the Ukrainian crisis. According to the author, in the near future the unipolar system of international security will be replaced by something similar to Roosevelt's "four policemen" system of 1945.
