Abstract

This section analyzes the ethnic and cultural tolerance of student youth in Russia. Based on quantitative surveys (2022-2024, with over 2,000 respondents in each wave) and focus group data, it is shown that students demonstrate a high level of acceptance of cultural diversity, low ethnocentrism, and a willingness to engage in intercultural contacts, including friendships. Tolerance varies significantly across regions and the multiculturalism of universities, particularly in Moscow. Attitudes toward other countries reflect national political trends. Overall, the results confirm the potential of students as a resource for interethnic harmony and positive consolidation of Russian society.
