Abstract

Researchers’ approaches to understanding the phenomenon of “trust”expand the range of possibilities for its study. Trust in the socio-political sphere helpsto maintain the legitimacy of government and its authority in the public consciousness,especially in times of crisis. The institutional trust of youth has a special specificity.This age group acutely perceives and reacts to important events and circumstancesof life, using various, sometimes extreme, forms of behavioral reactions. Beinga complex, multidimensional phenomenon, the trust of young people is determinedby many factors at the macro-meso- and micro levels. A number of sociological studieshave made it possible to record the peculiarities of youth’s trust in the President of theRussian Federation as a key figure in the socio-political space. The head of state hasheld a leading position in the rating of youth confidence among all authorities formany decades. Using the example of young Crimean citizens, an analysis of the levelof trust in the President of the Russian Federation is carried out.
