Abstract

This chapter examines the role of water as a renewable energy resource, focusing on the technological, environmental, and socio-economic aspects and evaluation of the potential of the hydro and marine energy. It explores how sustainable practices in marine and offshore energy can address environmental challenges, benefit economies, and foster social well-being across different cultures. Firstly will be discussed global potential of hydro and marine energy, vulnerabilities barriers and principles of sustainable energy management with technological and socio-economic challenges on the path of implementation of the innovative technologies and practices from a cross-cultural viewpoint.
