Abstract

The article is devoted to the theoretical study and systematization of modern scientific approaches to managing the quality of life of the population. The relevance of the topic is due to the status of quality of life as a key priority of public policy and the need for scientific justification of management strategies in the context of increasing complexity of socio-economic processes. The purpose of the research is to identify, analyze and streamline the main theoretical and methodological approaches to quality of life management based on modern Russian scientific publications. The methodological basis consists of general scientific methods of cognition, such as system analysis, synthesis, generalization, comparison, as well as the principles of logical and historical unity. As a result of the study, five complementary approaches were identified and characterized: systemic, which considers the quality of life as a complex, integral structure; institutional, which focuses on the role of formal and informal rules and norms; process, which represents management as a continuous adaptive cycle; factorial, focused on managing key determinants of well-being; and subject-object, analyzing interaction government, business, and society. It is concluded that building an effective and sustainable quality of life management system is impossible within the framework of one approach and requires their integrated integration. The critical importance of developing adequate assessment and monitoring systems based on objective and subjective indicators to ensure the effectiveness of management actions is substantiated.
