Statistical data and specialized research presented in this article demonstrate the prevalence of such forms of aggressive behavior online as cyberbullying and cyberstalking. The author examines the current state of cyberbullying and stalking, as well as the main measures taken in the Russian Federation to combat these phenomena. The main manifestations of online aggression, the factors contributing to the spread of such behavior, and their dynamics are identified. A review of international experience in countering cyberbullying and cyberstalking is provided. The status of these acts in Russia is examined, as well as the mechanisms used to combat online aggression. It is concluded that this problem remains acute in Russian society, existing countermeasures are insufficiently effective, and it’s advisable to adopt the most effective mechanisms for combating virtual aggression that have been successfully used abroad.
