Abstract

The article presents a comprehensive analysis of the demographic situation in the ethno-national regions of the Far Eastern Federal District (FEFD), including the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), the Republic of Buryatia, and the Jewish Autonomous Region. The relevance of the study is due to the acute demographic problems of the region, which have an important geopolitical significance. The paper examines a number of key trends in natural and migration movements of the population, as well as the specific features of demographic development in ethno-national entities. The research methodology is based on statistical analysis of Rosstat data (2011-2023), the 2020 All-Russian Population Census, legal acts of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, documents of regional social service centers, and materials from the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection. Special attention is paid to the analysis of regional programs to support families with children, including the implementation of maternity capital, social benefits, and measures to improve
