Abstract

This article presents a comprehensive analysis of the migration situation in the Rostov Region through the lens of intergenerational differences. The aim of the study is to identify and analyze the specific perceptions of migration processes by representatives of different generations. Based on data from a sociological survey (a questionnaire conducted by the team from the Southern Russian Branch of the Federal Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences), the author examines assessments of the impact of migrants on the socioeconomic and cultural life of the region. It has been established that assessments of the migration situation vary significantly depending on age group, due to differences in historical experience, value orientations, and adaptability to change. The results of the study can be used by state and municipal authorities to develop a more balanced and effective migration policy that takes into account the interests of all age groups.
