Abstract

This article analyzes the agricultural development of Northeast China, focusing on the current experience of implementing agricultural strategies in three northeastern provinces: Heilongjiang, Jilin, and Liaoning. Since 2003, these provinces have been implementing a strategy to revive the old industrial base, and since 2023, strengthening the agricultural complex and ensuring food security in Northeast China has become a priority. Based on an analysis of regulatory and statistical data contained in reports on the development of Northeast China, this article attempts to summarize the accumulated experience of implementing the agricultural development strategy in China's northeastern provinces. The primary research methods were systemic and statistical. The author finds that Northeast China possesses significant advantages in the development of the agricultural sector of the national economy. It has been determined that the revival of the northeastern industrial base since 2003 has spurred a revival of agricultural production, which subsequently led to the development and inclusion of Dongbei in the project to create a strong agricultural state in China. Currently, Northeast China is actively engaged in the process of developing high-quality, scientifically-informed, "green," and "branded" agriculture. The implementation of China's new agricultural strategy in the Northeast region is influencing the revitalization of rural infrastructure in Heilongjiang, Jilin, and Liaoning provinces.
