Abstract

This article presents a quantitative analysis and modeling of the dynamics of  the educational potential of the employed population in Russian regions using Rosstat data for 2002 and 2023. The article examines the dynamics of the average length of schooling and  the share of employed people with higher education. Using the index method, percentile  analysis, and linear regression, data for Russian regions were calculated and analyzed. A  strong correlation was found between the share of higher education and the average length  of education. A forecast for 2030 was made based on the constructed model. Over the analyzed period, a steady increase was observed in the average Russian length of schooling, and  the distribution of indicators across regions is homogeneous. The relevance of this article is  due to the importance of human capital in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution  (Industry 4.0).
