Abstract

Introduction. The authors prove the relevance of the study of the problem of factors influencing the formation of life values of the youth of the Republic of Crimea. The article substantiates the specifics of the conditions under which the value system of the region's population was formed, and the connection between these processes and the reunification of Crimea with Russia in 2014. The authors ask  themselves what factors in the socio-political context can influence the value orientations of the Crimean youth. Research methodology. For the purposes of the research, methodological tools of the dispositional concept of social behavior of the individual, as well as the subject-activity scientific paradigm, were used. The empirical basis of the study is the results of a mass survey of Crimeans aged 18-30 (N=864) conducted by the staff of the Crimean branch of the Federal Research Sociological Center of the Russian  Academy  of  Sciences  in March-April  2024. The survey was conducted  using  an  online questionnaire. Results of the study and its discussion. The following results were obtained: a fairly large percentage of the Crimean youth surveyed demonstrate confidence in the heads of state and the region, assess the socio-economic and political situation in the Republic as stable and safe, and the level of social tension as low. However, along with this, there is concern about the proximity of the SVR, the level of interethnic tension, as well as a number of unresolved pressing social problems. The authors consider such factors as geopolitical enthusiasm, trust in the authorities, the location of the region, as well as the resources of national, regional and national identity in the key of the duality of their influence on the formation of the space of value orientations of the population. In conclusion, it is concluded that there is ambivalence in the manifestation of the influence of a number of socio-political factors on the formation of life values of the youth of the Republic of Crimea.
