Abstract

Large-scale social changes in the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union are accompanied by different dynamics ofdemographic processes, migration challenges and differences in national social policy. These factors intensify interestin comprehensive research that enables a deeper understanding of the specifics of the development of Eurasian societiesand highlights the need to train a new generation of specialists capable of working in an interdisciplinary agenda. IVInternational Youth Summer School named after G.I. Osadchaya, "Eurasian Societies in the focus of Social Sciences",was held in Moscow on June 25-27, 2025. The School was organized by the Institute of Demographic Research of theNational Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences with the support of the Scientific Council "Socio-Political and Demographic Problems of the Formation of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU)" at the UN RAS. TheSchool is named after Professor G.I. Osadchaya, who not only stood at its origins in 2022, but also devoted her researchto the social aspects of Eurasian integration, the central theme of the School's events. The event was attended by youngresearchers from Russia, CIS countries, as well as representatives of China and Cuba. The program included lectures byleading scientists, a scientific and practical youth conference and a competition for youth research projects. Issues ofintegration in the post-Soviet space, demographic and migration policy, transformation of social roles and the impact ofdigitalization were discussed. The School has become a platform for the exchange of experience, the development ofinternational scientific contacts and the formation of a community of young researchers working in the field of socialsciences. All participants of the School received certificates, and the best projects based on the results of the creativecompetition and by the decision of the expert jury were awarded with diplomas of the winners. As a result of the event,the participants acquired not only new knowledge, but also expanded their professional contacts. The School has becomean important step in the formation of a community of young researchers focused on the development of scientificdialogue in the Eurasian space.
