Concrete examples show how myths arise and what harm they do to the objectivity of the history of sociology. The author believes that the task set by modernity of preparing the true history of Russian sociology should begin with a revision of the already existing historical facts 67 in their biased interpretation. At the same time, this should affect the restoration of the assessment of the contribution of individual authors who were undeservedly forgotten. The article contains material for such work, the main content of which is the search and subsequent reliance on documents. The article focuses on the mandatory conduct of this work, emphasizing its complexity, and forms a willingness to discuss and overcome contradictions by using the argumentation of academic science.
