Abstract

This collaborative monograph summarizes the results of the large-scale, multi-year project «New Social Inequalities in the Digital Age,» supported by the Russian Science Foundation (grant no. 21—18-00489). It is, in essence, the first work to combine theoretical and methodological reflection on the study of inequalities associated with digitalization with a presentation of the results of an analysis conducted using extensive empirical data. The monograph consists of five sections, the first of which is devoted to theoretical and methodological issues in the study of digital inequalities. The following sections discuss the content of social inequalities associated with digitalization in various dimensions of social life (education, labor relations, etc.). The monograph will be of interest to researchers and specialists in sociology, as well as to anyone interested in contemporary social science and the dynamics of social change.
