Abstract

The article examines the role of project management in the process of cultural heritage adaptation in the context of sustainable urban development in Moscow, using the example of the redevelopment of the GES-2 Cultural Center. The purpose of the work is to analyze the solutions that made it possible to combine the reconstruction of an industrial facility with the preservation of its historical value and the creation of a modern cultural space in the capital. The study demonstrates the successful transformation of the former energy complex (HPP-2 tram station) into a multifunctional cultural center, including an exhibition space, a concert hall, educational venues and public spaces. Special attention is paid to management solutions that ensure the integration of the facility into the demanding modern environment of the metropolis. The results of the study show that systematic and consistent management decisions have made it possible to create a sought-after cultural institution that attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors annually. The HPP-2 project has become an example of successful «post-industrial revitalization», demonstrating the possibilities of transforming industrial facilities into modern cultural clusters.
