In Western studies devoted to the problem of income stratification, various values are used, fluctuating within the range of 0.5—0.75 of the median per capita income. Based on data on the risks of poverty, it is concluded that the line of 0.5 can be applied as the boundary of deep poverty, and the line of 0.75 - as the boundary separating the population with high risks of impoverishment.
