Abstract

On 12 June 2026, the International Labour Organization (ILO) adopted the Convention concerning Decent Work in the Platform Economy, No. 193 (hereinafter, Convention No. 193). The instrument establishes, for the first time at the international level, a comprehensive framework governing relations between digital labour platforms and persons working through them. Although the Convention does not currently impose obligations on Russian companies, its provisions provide important insights into the prospective development of the regulatory framework governing platform work.
