The aim is to assess the contribution of reproductive health to changes in fertility. Indicators characterizing the reproductive health of the population at different stages of social development are identified with due regard to the demographic situation. The relation ship between components of reproductive health and the choice of the number and timing of births is determined at the national level (reproductive and extragenital morbidity among men and women, access to reproductive health care) and at the individual level (behavioral practic es of the population). The methods used include historical analysis of administrative regulation of the physiological and social components of reproductive health and statistical analysis of morbidity in the Russian Federation across different periods from 1990 to 2024. On the basis of the identified specific features, the main directions of reproductive health regulation aimed at increasing fertility are outlined: diagnosis and treatment of reproductive pathologies starting from the neonatal period; reproductive health screening for the population of fertile age; and increased access to medically assisted reproduction, including assisted reproductive technol ogies, taking into account modifications of contemporary forms of family relations. The effect of increasing fertility through reproductive health components is determined by an integrated approach: national traditions of preventing reproductive disorders (maintaining physiological fertility throughout reproductive age, abortion and contraceptive practices, correction of in fertility, subfertility, etc.) and a modern universally accessible health-care system that includes preventive reproductology
