Abstract

The modern logic of military cooperation is integrated into the overall system of international relations across the entire post‑Soviet space, despite the complex, mosaic‑like nature of inter‑country interaction. The demographic factor is crucial in addressing military and socioeconomic planning. Shaping the modern armed forces of the EAEU member states from a demographic perspective requires in-depth scientific study, as military affairs involve all spheres of human activity. The conceptualization of the key principles of military cooperation to ensure demographic security is considered in the context of current challenges and threats facing EAEU member states. Areas of military cooperation within the EAEU are identified, taking into account national specifics. Priority areas for ensuring national security in EAEU countries are presented, taking into account the current international agenda. Methodologies for assessing military power using quantitative and qualitative indicators are described. Prospects have been outlined for further consolidation of the scientific community’s efforts in developing military‑demographic indicators and metrics, as well as their classification and verification. Military cooperation is one of the tools of demographic security, as direct correlations between military affairs and demography have been confirmed by centuries of human history. International cooperation contributes to overcoming external military threats. The conditions and factors of demographic security determine a state's resource potential, and military cooperation facilitates their effective use in the interests of national security.
