Abstract

The paper presents the results of the research of values of Soviet and Russian professional and managers. It considers the traditional orientations towards scientific and technological progress and human development. The relation between professional and civil values is shown as well as their role in the transformation of the Western innovations in the management sphere. The paper reveals the attitude of Russian professionals to modern reforms and to narrowing of specialization first.
