Abstract

The study of trust conducted in the regions of Russia with varying degrees of ethno-cultural and socio-economic variability allows us to conclude that generalized trust and interethnic tolerance are interdependent phenomena. Generalized trust as a social attitude mitigates tensions in the sphere of interethnic relations and is a factor of agreement in society. Generalized trust reduces inter-ethnic tensions and so it is a factor of consent in polyethnic regions
