Abstract

The introduction of digital technologies in agriculture is proceeding rapidly in every segment of the global agribusiness. Digital technologies bring huge benefits, reducing costs. The main difficulty of digitalization is the integration of all systems and business processes of the participating countries. The transition from the model of selling agricultural machinery and automation equipment into ownership to the model of paying for their functions according to the actual volume or even the results of consumption, which is the basis of digital transformation, solves the problem of the availability of machinery and technology, therefore, increasing labor productivity. The development of new technologies makes it possible to increase productivity, reduce production costs, and improve product quality. The trend towards robotics and cheaper technologies, as the author notes, over time, on the one hand, will solve the problem of staff shortage, and on the other hand, will create a need for highly qualified personnel, who will be rewarded properly. Robots in agriculture will be replaced by the same people as in industry and the service sector, i.e. workers who perform monotonous and mechanical work that is best amenable to automation.
