Abstract

The diversity of centers and groups that make up the potential of regional sociology is emphasized. The definition and typology of sociological centers are given according to a number of criteria. The necessity of coordinating applied regional research conducted at the expense of budgetary funds, as well as improving the procedures for determining a supplier and concluding a contract for conducting such research, is substantiated.
