Abstract

The article considers external and internal security challenges in the Central Asian region, the causes of conflicts within and between the countries of the region. The author has analyzed the prospects for the development of Eurasian integration in the region from the point of view of Russia's interests, the risks of growth and inherent risks on this path, the opportunities and potential of the CSTO and the EAEU for conflict resolution and prevention. The scenarios for the development of the situation in the medium and long term are proposed.
