Abstract

The analysis of the state and dynamics of informal employment in the formal economy in Russia is presented. Based on the original tools, a comparative analysis of the quality of informal and official employment in the formal economy was carried out. The prevalence and concentration of indicators of precarious employment for informally and officially employed workers are determined. For the sphere of informal and official employment, the scales of groups of workers characterized by different levels of wages have been identified, and estimates of the potential opportunities of existing employment to ensure a certain standard of living in the households of workers formed by monetary income are given. The analysis of the impact of informal employment in the formal economy in Russia on the standard of living of workers' households in comparison with official employment is carried out.
