Abstract

The monograph of the prominent Russian scientist Val. A. Lukov, written jointly with S. V. Lukov and D. A. Tikhomirov, presents the results of many years of research work in the field of state youth policy in modern Russia. Considering youth policy in the field of legislation, the authors masterfully enrich the legal controversy with an original round of analysis, which brings to the fore the history of the development and confrontation of conceptual ideas about youth. Thus, behind the facade of historical facts and theoretical premises of sociohumanitarian knowledge reconstructed in the light of youth policy, the originality of the author’s thought is manifested, which harmoniously connects youth and cultural policy, showing their unity in the conceptual field of thesaurus sociology. In this perspective, the contradictions and paradoxes of the formation of youth policy in Russian conditions are considered, the multilayered nature of its conceptual foundations is revealed, socio%cultural aspects important for indepth research of youth problems are articulated. The review pays special attention to the foundations of the sociocultural subjectivity of youth and the cultural component of the state youth policy. In this regard, the work in which the design of the sociocultural subjectivity of youth is closely intertwined with the issues of education within the framework of youth policy, acquires noteworthy value against the background of today’s agenda.
