Abstract

The monograph examines the theoretical foundations of understanding success and substantiates methodological approaches to the study of the success of a person of the XXI century, as well as the results of a search study conducted by an international team of scientists. It seemed important to the authors to consider the social phenomenon success of a modern person in the context of life and work satisfaction, from the perspective of a wide range of socio-cultural, socio-psychological and demographic determinants. In the course of the study, the methods developed in in various fields of social and humanitarian science, which allow not only to describe the phenomenon of success in a meaningful way, but also to identify its prevalence and features of manifestation in different countries (in this project, Russia, Poland and Belarus) and in specific groups within countries. The results of a pilot sociological survey and psychological testing of the population of the cities of Russia (Vologda, Cherepovets, Petro Zavodsk, Kolomna), Belarus (Minsk) and Poland (Lublin) are presented. The book is intended for scientists researching the problems of success, social well-being, achievement motivation, teachers, graduate students and students of economic and sociological specialties, as well as for a wide range of readers interested in these issues.
