Abstract

The publication provides an overview of the reports of the Round Table Education as an elevator, held on 28.02.2022. ISof the FNSC RAS. Together with the journal Sociological Research. Education, being one of the main social institutions, hasalways been a condition and factor of vertical mobility. At the same time, the growth of the diversity of the labor market is sorapid that the education system does not have time to meet its needs. Its reformation, under the goal announced in 2007 by theMinister of Education Fursenko – nurturing a qualified consumer, the transition to the Bologna system, an increase in youngpeople entering universities, including on a commercial basis – all this reduced the possibility of a vertical start and actualizedhorizontal mobility. For most, the educational elevator has become a treadmill.
