Abstract

This article discusses three waves of environmentalism that influenced the formation of the green jobs labour market: 1) nature conservation, 2) environmental regulation policy, 3) the concept of environmental and social justice and green economy. These stages developing together within the general concept of green professions, and these elements are acquiring more interconnections between the problems of sustainable development and climate change. At the turn of the last half of the XX–XXI centuries the concept o “green” jobs has been significantly transformed to cover every sector of the economy and seeks to find more links between environmental, economic, socio-cultural and demographic issues, becoming a global trend that is mandatory for the development of companies and strive for transdisciplinarity in theory and practice.
