Abstract

The global transition from the modernized tradition of the XX century to the new network reality of the XXI century is accompanied by contradictory social phenomena and oppositely directed processes. On the one hand, it is hardly possible not to notice the qualitative renewal of the foundations of social systems. The traditional social system as a set of rules, norms, attitudes that regulates human behavior and transforms it into a hierarchical structure of roles and statuses is transformed into a network social system. There is a historical evolution of models of social order from affective-charismatic to rational-discursive, and, further, to digital-network one. There are obvious trends in establishing a new «digital order» in a new network reality. On the other hand, there are noticeable processes of resistance to the establishment of a single model of social order on a global scale on the part of traditionalist societies that actively defend conservative principles. The article discusses how the social order is historically formed and changed, what are the causes and driving forces promoting and impeding the renewal of principles of social life.
