A theoretical review of the available works on the current state of Eurasian integration leads to the conclusion that most authors study each of the factors separately. This means that there is no unified theoretical justification for integration processes in the Eurasian Economic Union. The purpose of the article is to highlight the social factors of Eurasian integration as the driving force of productive consolidation. At the same time, the importance and potential of cooperation between Russia and other former Soviet republics are undeniable, since in the recent past the economies of the republics were not oriented towards autonomous existence and need partnership today. The following consolidating foundations were identified: jointly conducted identity policy, common political structure, common symbols, educational policy and the educational role of the media.
