Abstract

The article assesses the level of poverty of the population in the Republic of Bashkortostan. Significant differences in the level of poverty by the main socio-demographic groups of households (urban-rural, households with children, pensioners, including working pensioners, students, children, etc.) are shown. In the context of a decrease in real monetary incomes of the population, it is extremely important to increase the targeting of social measures aimed at reducing poverty, first of all, rural population and families with children.
