Abstract

The review analyzes the main provisions of the book by A.V. Bratersky and A.V. Kuleshova Open Question: Public Opinion in Modern Russia, volume 2. The book provides an opportunity to form a holistic view of the the public opinion research development in Russia, as well as of the new methodological approaches, and the contribution of VTSIOM analysts to the effectiveness of political decision-making. The authors highlight the main advantage of the monograph —a detailed analysis of the history of VTSIOM as an effective organization through the prism of historical challenges facing the Russian society. The review draws attention to the main activities of VTSIOM — measurements of public opinion, analytical researches, political consulting, publishing, educational and scientific projects.
